    Issue 1: Raising judges' mandatory retirement age from 70 to 75

    Voters will decide at the Nov. 8 election whether or not a person can run for judge if he or she is older than 70.

    Issue 1 is a constitutional amendment that would increase the age at which someone can seek a judgeship from 70 to 75.

    In 1968, voters amended the constitution to make 70 the age limit for a judge to seek office.
